Zara Kok (b. 1988, Singapore) is a London-based Singaporean artist whose practice explores ideas and observations of what feels human, and how it shows up in contemporary life.
Working primarily within printmaking, she draws upon the nuances of everyday living and the poetry of our environments, to craft narratives through illustrative abstractions of space and still life. These visual metaphors capture moments of familiarity that deepen our awareness of a shared humanity in an increasingly disconnected world.
As a graphic design graduate of Central Saint Martins, she dived headfirst into the world of commercial art and branding and remained for over a decade. However, a longing for tactility within her work brought her to the Royal College of Art to pursue her Masters in Print.
She continues to further her practice in London, and her etching work has been accessioned into the Royal College of Art Archive.
